The Power Wheels are designed to run off 12 volts. After some modification in the Cramer lab, we pumped 24V into this Jeep. It's the fastest Power Wheels I've ever seen, guessing it topped out around 8.5MPH (stock speed is 5MPH). The motors heated up pretty bad after a minute or ride time, so we stepped down to 18V. The plastic parts seem to hold up much better at 18V and it still gives a good speed boost over stock.

After our caterpillar climbed to the top of his habitat, we setup the video camera to record all night. We caught the full transformation into his cocoon. It was about a 45 minute process, so this is a big file. We also posted another time advanced video.
